Iwaysys- Excursions Punta Cana - Reef Tour Samana Cayo Levantado (Bacardi Island)

Visit to Cayo Levantado or Bacardi Island, a small island located in Samana, a popular tourist destination visited by travellers from around the world, its beautiful beaches, turquoise and crystal clear waters, the perfect place to adventure, culture watching, snorkeling among Millions of fish and starfish against incredible beach, to escape, ideal for snorkeling or just relax. Along the coast of  Samana Bay we find one of the most diverse reefs in terms of fauna and flora is concerned. This reef called La Farola, with just 4 meters deep has a beauty that we are fascinated with its big stars on the Samana area . Visit a sunken ship wreck or La Lupita, near the coast and just four meters deep, where millions and variety of fish and shellfish where you can snorkel shelter. It is a snorkel for all levels and of great interest. This tour also mixes some history, as is also the Gulf of Arrows, where the Tainos (Dominican natives) and Cristobal Colon and group of Spanish conquistadors had a big confrontation. There is also the Gulf Bird Sanctuary of The Arrow, where nests a wide variety of endemic and migratory birds, they can be seen the chicks in their nests, can make spectacular photos. This tour is ideal for relaxing and watching nature and discover Samana, we arrived at 17.30 back to Punta Cana and Bavaro.

PROGRAM

Once the Cañita Pier, take the boat to cross the Bay of Samana, welcome drink, Snack, Tour the coast of Samana, which will travel in the boat. We continue our marine adventure to reach the Shipwreck in the sunken ship, where we snorkell reaching the Gulf of Arrows, recommend not remove the starfish water starfish and who can not stand and if they are more than 20 seconds off they die. Visit the Bird Sanctuary to take photos and learn about the different species such as pelicans, herons and frigates; Then we stopped at the Reef, to appreciate the colors of the different species of fish. After this unforgettable experience, we headed to Cayo Levantado or Bacardi Island, where we will have the buffet lunch and then stay on the beach enjoying the crystal clear waters, under the sun or under the coconut trees. At the end of the afternoon departure to Bavaro and Bayahibe. ç

TIMMING

We go out every Thursday.

07:00 am - Departure from Bavaro - Punta Cana (from Bayahibe at 06:00 am).

08:00 am - Arrival in Miches Restaurant la Topora (breakfast)

8:30 am- Departure to Cañita.

8:50 a.m. -Arrival Cañita Pier. Boarding and departure to Samana.

09:45 am - Arrival at the Bahia de Samana and tour of the coast.

10:30 am - Reef Snorkeling in Cayo Levantado (45 min). Sea stars.

11:15 am - Snorkeling in the Shipwreck (30 min). Tropical fish.

12:15 pm - Arrival to Cayo Levantado, Lunch and Relax until 3:30 p.m.

15:30 pm - Departure from Cayo to Punta Cana.

16:00 pm- Arrival at Cañita. 4:10 pm-Salida to Bavaro. 17:40 pm - Arrival in Bavaro (at 19:00 pm Arrival to Bayahibe).

Recommendations: camera, if you have cojerla underwater camera, sunscreen, comfortable clothes and shoes, bring a towel .. Important: we want to keep the population of starfish and care we recommend the stars.
