Punta Cana Sting Concert at Hard Rock Hotel

Sting came in concert to the Dominican Republic in a unique performance to be held on Saturday May 13 2017 at the Fillmore Hall of Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana. The former Police arrived in the country after the expected release of the most recent rock / pop album "57th & 9th" and with concerts totally exhausted in North America and Europe. Sting was accompanied by a band that included his historic guitarist Dominic Miller, as well as Josh Freese on drums and Rufus Miller on guitar. In addition, Joe Sumner, son of Sting, was summoned like special guest for this show. "57th & 9th", the album Sting came to present, is the musician's No. 12 solo album and his first rock-pop project in more than a decade. Sting formed The Police in 1977 along with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers, and together they released five albums, won six Grammy Awards, two Brits and were included in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As a soloist, Sting received 10 Grammys and two more Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and three Oscar nominations, among other awards. He was also recognized as a member of the Composer Hall of Fame and was recently awarded the American Music Award for Merit. Between his work with The Police and his solo career, Sting has sold about 100 million records. Among his greatest hits as a soloist are "Fragile", "The Englishman in New York", "All for love", "If you love somebadoy", "If I ever lose my faith in you", "Fields of gold" "Russians", "Shape of my heart", "All this time", among others.
