# The whale watching season starts on January 19th

In Samana Humpback whales are regular visitors in the winter season every year from mid-January to mid-April these great mammals come from Iceland, Greenland and the Arctic come to our waters to mate and give birth in the Bay of Samana .

Come and enjoy a unique event in the Dominican Republic, whale or humpback whales Humpback, who come to our shores once a year to play. You can be lucky enough to see a huge humpback whale with her baby and a short distance from the boat.

Starting from their hotels towards the town of Miches, through the beautiful Eastern coastal plain, where the grass for cattle and planting of coconut trees predominate.
This great plain dedicated to raising cattle for meat and milk production, decorate the way to go on our adventure. Where we find small towns from poor families engaged in animal husbandry, agriculture and fisheries.

Once the sighting ended, we headed to the island Cayo Levantado or Bacardi Island, where we expect a delicious typical buffet style and in front of Mar.
